Summary:
The first thing you'll notice about The Rich Jerk is ATTITUDE. Whereas most businesspeople spend their time schmoozing and sucking up to you to gain your favor (and your business), The Rich Jerk acts like he doesn't care at all what you think of him.
He cusses, makes rude remarks, and does things exactly the opposite of what most people do when they're trying to make a good impression.
In other words, he uses reverse psychology. By telling you that he doesn't care at all whether you buy his stuff or not, he takes the pressure off. In fact, he practically pushes you away—guaranteeing that you'll want to do the opposite, and stay on his site and read.
The Rich Jerk makes you feel like something of a rebel for even checking out his site at all. He makes you sign in with your name and email address to get in, and tells you that if you're a "sissy" or a "crybaby," you had better go away. More reverse psychology- after all, nobody wants to be called a “crybaby,” right?
Because The Rich Jerk has such a noticeably different marketing style than most of the Internet marketing gurus out there, he's getting famous- quickly. There are now thousands of websites out there imitating the Rich Jerk's style, and the number is growing everyday.
This makes you think... If The Rich Jerk knows what he's doing well enough to get that many imitators, then maybe his products are good, too.
The Product:
The Rich Jerk - an ebook which teaches you how to make money with internet marketing.
Pros:
Claims to cut out all of the extras you don't need and quickly tell you his secrets for making millions.
Gives you more than one technique to make money.
One money-making technique is based on generating web site visitors and sales, but you don't necessarily need your own product.
Gives you info on the tools you need to bring customers to the website: Google Adwords; Google Adsense; search engine optimization; and sales letters.
The websites are 99% automated.
Tells you how to do wholesale buying and selling for Ebay.
Gives you access to websites that actually worked for the author, so you can see real, working examples.
Cons:
Some people might be offended by his writing style.
Claims to have "new" secrets (and claims the competition is all selling the same information repeatedly in different packages); but despite The Rich Jerk trying to convince us otherwise, most of the information he is offering us seems like standard internet marketing material.
The bonuses (a free affiliate website and free access to The Rich Jerk's forum) don't seem that exciting.
The writing style of the main sales letter is interesting, but it still sounds fake. It makes me wonder how much of it is the truth.
